9. Attaining a JUS certificates |
The Yugoslavian Standards [JUS] represents another "obstacle"
for the normal business legalization and registration process.
We've mentioned previously that one of the biggest problems
involving this matter is refusal or inability of local authorities
and organizations to accept or recognize foreign certificates
and standards. This results in lost time and income and, hopefully
will be solved through new homologation procedures.
Prerequisite of attaining a JUS certificate[s] for a firm's
representative product or service:
• 79.4% of respondents (374 firms) answered these questions
concerning obtaining JUS certificate legal obligation.
Out of that:
• 80% said they didn't do anything about obtaining a
certificate
• 16% said they obtained one during the product launching
process
• 1% said they fulfilled their legal obligation several
times after launching the product
• 2% answered they were obtaining certificates several
times during the year
• 1% obtained certificates during the launch process
and several times during the year
