7. Work Permits |
Work permits are regulated by separate laws in some specific
areas of the economy.
Twenty eight point eight [28.8%] of respondents were
attempting to obtain work permits.
Of these:
45.3% were attempting to obtain one [1] permit
18.2% attempted to obtain two [2] permits
8.8% attempted to obtain three [3] permits

Approximately one-half [50%] of the responding firms
received an unlimited term of validity for the work permits
they obtained and, the other half did not.
The average term of expiration for these work permits was
4.5 years.
The expiration period for the vast majority of firms was
5 years.
Seventy-five percent [75%] of the firms claim that the
number of required work permits for the current year is the
same as in previous year.
Eleven point eight percent of firms [11.8%] claim that
increasing the number of work permits is necessary.
Thirteen point two percent [13.2%] of respondents believe
that a fewer number of work permits are required.

The shortest period of time for obtaining a work permit was
2.3 days – said permit being issued in the sector of
advertising.
Work permits in the fields of transport and, small sales points
required a wait of approximately ten [10] days.
The cost of obtaining all other types of work permits averages
from 80 € to 150 €.
The price of the bribe is often more than the official fees
associated with the permit sought.
