2. Registering a business |
A. Domestic firms
Average time needed for registration has been calculated in
worker-days (71 worker-days), which is less then average
time calculated in days (105 days).
Businessmen are required to return to the permit office to successfully
complete the registration procedure.
B. Foreign firms (applicant is a foreign legal or physical
person)
The cost of registration, measured by the time and money, is
usually less then for the average domestic firm.
In regards to cost, both in domestic or foreign firms, one must
consider the existence of the idiom, "all other costs to
get the job done" which is actually another name for a
bribe; the purpose of which is to speed some process
or actually accomplishing said process. From the total number
of firms who answered questions about bribery, 21.14%
had to pay a bribe during the registration process. In any event,
it is obvious that corruption 'speeds' the process.
