Belgrade, June 28, 2002 - The Serbian Agency for Privatization today issued a public invitation to bidders for 70 percent state-owned capital in five domestic sugar plants, setting August 23, 2002 as the deadline for submitting offers.
The tender calls for the sale of sugar factories Crvenka in Crvenka, Jedinstvo in Kovacica, Sajkaska in Zabalj, Jugozapadna Backa and Donji Srem in Bac, the Beta news agency reported.
The deadline for submitting bids is August 23, 2002. Companies and consortiums wishing to take part in the tender must have at least 5 years of experience in the sugar sector and are obliged to pay a deposit of €100,000 in dinar
counter value.
