2. Midterm measures |
1. Further restructuring and processing of new rail road organization.
2. Totally separate the functions of construction, maintenance
and development of infrastructure from the function of transporting
passengers and goods. Actually, achieve complete commercial
independence.
3. The forming of expert teams within the Transportation Ministries.
These teams will observe the system, formulate and propose strategic
decisions, and formulate railroad transport developmental policies.
4. Completion of the reorganization and management of current
and developmental maintenance of infrastructure on a modern
basis. Installation and application of software ECOTRACK, a
new system of maintenance management
5. Continue modernization of electro technical facilities and
electrification of the tracks.
6. Continue equipping important tracks with up to date security
and safety systems.
7. Procure new locomotives and coach vehicles such as:
• new passenger cars for domestic traffic produced by domestic
suppliers;
• new electro and diesel engine locomotives for domestic passenger
traffic;
• construction of infrastructure for maintenance of the new
vehicles and machinery.
8. Accomplish further accommodation and development of
informational systems compatible with European standards.
9. Define and introduce up to date organization of passenger
and load traffic.
10. Conclude the state and rail road regulations that refer
to application of international and Yugoslav regulations, standards,
bilateral and multilateral agreements and other rail road terms
and rules.
11. Further accommodation of investing policies for strategic
goals on an international and national level and, regional goals
on national and local level.
12. To influence on the formation and adoption of new social
values and poses important issues for traffic policies with
an accent on safety, protecting the environment, new marketing
program and image of the railroad.
