Technical and technological conditions |
The Serbian paper industry has seven different sections for
production of newsprint, writing and printing paper production.
The current status of the machines is good, considering their
age. Most of these machines have outlived their normally projected
service life, in addition to the fact that the entire industry
is operating at below capacity. Given minimal investment, a
bit more management consulting and, some new markets, the paper
industry in Serbia can become a regional leader, again.
Production capacities are bigger than market capacities because
uncoated paper is not produced in machines and for production
of this 12.000 t/y of wood-free uncoated paper is necessary.
Nominal market production capacity is 114.000 tons a year.
