Territorial organization

The territorial organization of the Republic of Serbia is regulated by the Law on Territorial Organization and Local Government, adopted in the National Assembly on July 24, 1991.

Serbia Districts Belgrade Gnjilane Pristina Kosovska Mitrovica Pec Vranje Leskovac Prokuplje Nis Pirot Zajecar Krusevac Kraljevo Cacak Uzice Jagodina Kragujevac Bor Pozarevac Smederevo Valjevo Sabac Pancevo Zrenjanin Sremska Mitrovica Novi Sad Kikinda Subotica Sombor Prizren

Under the Law, the municipalities, cities and settlements make the bases of the territorial organization.

Serbia have two provinces:
Vojvodina (7 districts)
Kosovo & Metohija (5 districts)

Belgrade have status of special district.
