Serbian government offers 3% pay rise to health sector
Oct 2 (Government) - At a meeting on Thursday between Serbian government officials and representatives of the Serbian Health Union, the government offered to raise wages in the health sector by three percent as of October 2003.
Apart from this proposal, the government also offered another raise in December, reads a statement from the Serbian Ministry of Health, announcing further talks on the rate of wage growth in the health sector in 2004. Representing the Serbian government at the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Zarko Korac, Minister of Finance and Economy Bozidar Djelic, and Deputy Minister of Health Dragomir Marisavljevic.
