No progress in negotiations with the Government
October 1, 2003 (Blic) - Instead of talks as expected, the Union of medical doctors of Serbia had only talks in the Ministry of Health yesterday. Both sides remained at their starting positions. Doctors are not giving up their decision to begin on October 2 since there is no increase of salaries and judging by the situation it is not very likely there will be any increase in the future, either.
As 'Blic' was told in that union, representatives of the Ministry of Health in spite of their agreement that the request for salary increase is justified, claim that they have no mandate for making adequate decision.
