Serbia applying best model of privatization, Jovanovic
15:57 CACAK, Oct 1 (Tanjug) - Serbian Deputy Premier Cedomir Jovanovic assessed on Wednesday in Cacak that Serbia was applying the best model of privatization, citing the data that since last September have been privatized about one thousand socially-owned firms, while in
neighboring Hungary in twelve years have been privatized some 1,800 firms.
"The state has collected about 500 million euros from privatization, so that now we can think about stepping up investment activities and a more speedy restructuring of the economy from existing sources," Jovanovic told businessmen of the Morava district, where so far have been privatized 19, and preparations are underway for 95 other firms.
