Deficit 2.5 billion Dollars
Sept 29 (Blic) - Only in the first seven months of this year Serbia has imported goods for 2.5 billion Dollars more than the value of the goods it exported in the same period.
According to experts this trend continues and it is very likely that the foreign trade deficit in 2003 is going to be bigger than the last year one which was 3.5 billion Dollars.
The export from Serbia in the first seven months of 2003 was 1.89 billion Dollars what is only 200 millions less than in the whole year of 2002. Serbian Government promised to help exporters so as to make them competitive in foreign markets. Officials expect that the export will be increased for one billion at least.
