EIB lends €50 mln for Serbia's health sector
Belgrade, Sept 26 (Government) - The Serbian Ministry of Health and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have signed a €50 million loan agreement for repairing Serbian hospitals. The agreement was signed as part of Assistant Minister of Health Ivan Jovanovic's visit to Luxemburg from Sept 22 to 23.
The 20-year loan has a five-year grace period and will be allocated for infrastructure and equipment repair in 20 local hospitals. Officials of the EIB and Serbia-Montenegro will sign the loan agreement by the end of the year, the Ministry said, adding that the loan will take effect on April 1.
