Denmark's Carlsberg becomes majority owner of Celarevo
21:01 BELGRADE, Sept 25 (Tanjug) - Denmark's Carlsberg has taken control of 51 percent of shares of the Celarevo brewery by increasing its capital at the amount of 6.4 million euros, and pledged to invest about 47 million euros in the improvement of beer production and sales by 2010, the CET company, which was the Celarevo brewery's financial adviser, said on Thursday.
Under the contract, which Carlsberg and Celarevo signed in Belgrade on September 23, the Serbian brewery secured a strategic partner and the total value of the transaction is about 106.4 million euros.
