No surplus of doctors
Surplus labor in medical institution is in administration
Sept 23 (Blic) - 'We do not accept statement by Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Zivkovic that in medical institutions there is surplus labor. If there is any surplus then it is in the administration. Let us have a precise analysis being made and presented to experts and public opinion. I claim with all responsibility that there is no surplus of doctors and nurses', M.D. Branislava Plancak says for our daily. She is president of the Republican Union of health care and social protection.
According to official data of the World Health organization, in Serbia there is no surplus of doctors and nurses in relation to the population. According to our data in administration there are about 35000 employees. This is 30 per cent of the total number of employees in medical institutions. In developed countries the percentage of administration in medical institution is 4-5 percent only.
