Bidders without protection
Tenders for public purchases are being realized although the Commission still has not debated on complaints
Sept 23 (Blic) - Union of entrepreneurs of Serbia invited Bozidar Djelic, Serbian Finance Minister to organize meeting in order to solve the problem of nonfunctioning of the Commission for protection of the rights of bidders. The union claims that the work of the Commission has not been precisely defined and that it has received more than 800 complaints already.
In the meantime there is frequent violation of the Law on public purchases. Many tenders have been realized in spite of the law that stipulates that realization can commence only after the Commission for protection of the rights of bidders has made decision about eventual complaints.
