Namenska bows to workers and dismisses director
21:07 KRAGUJEVAC, Sept 22 (SRNA) - The Namenska special arms factory in Kragujevac has dismissed company director Djordje Nestorovic as workers began their second week of industrial action, union leader Jugoslav Ristic told Srna news agency.
Ristic said that negotiations between the union and the Serbian government would begin tomorrow in Kragujevac. Namenska union members have been protesting for the past week against late pay and plans to dismiss 1,500 employees. Ristic said that marketing director Rade Gromovic had been appointed acting-director.
