Djelic: Introduction of VAT not to cause inflationary growth
11:14 BELGRADE, Sept 19 (Tanjug) - Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic said on Thursday that a law on value added tax (VAT), which should be effective as of January 1, 2004, will not cause inflationary growth regardless to the fact that the state would not freeze prices.
"Prices of some products might rise, but those of others will drop, because the law will enable a more just tax reallocation," Djelic told a press conference.
