Serbia-Montenegro's GNP to grow by 3, inflation rate by 9 percent in 2003
18:12 BELGRADE, Sept 19 (Tanjug) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission said on Friday that the main macroeconomic indicators were in keeping with Serbia-Montenegro's programme goals, that the GNP growth rate for 2003 was assessed at the level of three percent, which is lower than expected, while the expected inflation rate was at the bottom end of the planned range between nine and 11 percent.
The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) said in a statement that this assessment had been made by the IMF Mission, after regular ten-day consultations with Serbia and Montenegro representatives on the implementation of the macroeconomic policy agreed on within the current three-year financial arrangement.
