IMF says Serbia-Montenegro's foreign trade deficit is still high
18:43 BELGRADE, Sept 19 (Tanjug) - The IMF Mission said on Friday that the inflation rate in Serbia-Montenegro had continued dropping, that export and production were growing, albeit moderately, but that the foreign trade deficit was still high, despite the slowing down of import growth.
A statement released by the Office of the IMF Resident Representative in Serbia-Montenegro, issued after the end of ten-day talks with a state union delegation, said that Serbia's
budget execution in January-August 2003 had been broadly consistent with the IMF programme.
