IMF concerned over constant growth of Serbia's trade deficit
19:30 BELGRADE, Sept 18 (Tanjug) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has no major objections to Serbia's macroeconomic policy and couse of reforms, but has voiced concern over a three-year consecutive growth of the foreign trade deficit, Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic said.
"Negotiations are proceeding well and there are no major problems, but the IMF is concerned over the three-year trade deficit," Djelic told a news conference, adding that talks on the implementation of the three-year stand-by arrangement had started between the IMF, Serbian government and National Bank of Serbia on Thursday.
