Djelic promises to find money for elections
16:11 NOVI SAD, Sept 17 (Beta) - Serbia’s finance minister said today he hadn’t budgeted for presidential elections, the third in less than two years. “Elections weren’t planned in the budget, but what can you do? It’s an act of god and we’ll have to find room for it”, Bozidar Djelic.
Serbian Parliament Speaker Natasa Micic today called elections for Serbian president on November 16, 2003, after two unsuccessful attempts last year. Djelic said that the last two elections cost a total of 770 million dinars (approx. 12 million euros).
