Workers protest two-year pay gap
13:09 SRBOBRAN, Sept 16, 2003 (B92) – Workers at the Elan chemicals company in northern Serbia have erected roadblocks across the Srbobran municipality, claiming they have not been paid for two years.
The acting head of the Elan independent union, Jovan Simin, says they have been able to get hold of certain papers from the state
Privatization Agency necessary to continue the company’s
privatization. The workers have said they will end the protest at 11pm, reports B92’s correspondent.
