Sale of 843 companies brings in €1.1 bln
Sept 10 (Government) - Director of the Privatization Agency Mirko Cvetkovic said that
privatization of 843 companies has brought in revenues of €1.072 billion in the past two years, €567.3 million is planned for investments and €253.1 million for the social welfare programme.
Cvetkovic said that privatization of socially-owned companies will complete by end-2004, adding that revenues in 2004 are expected to be lower than in 2003. He explained that there are no more giant companies to be
privatized, like tobacco factories or Beopetrol. More revenues, as he said, can be expected after giant state-owned companies are restructured and
privatized.
