Review of free trade agreements
17:52 BELGRADE, Sept 9 (Beta) - Agreements on free trade which Serbia has signed with a number of countries are to be reviewed, Zoran Zivkovic said today. However, added the prime minister, it was not the government’s intention to terminate the agreements.
At a government round table with representatives of local and foreign companies, Zivkovic said that Montenegrin leaders had objected because they had not taken part in drawing up the agreements. The government is to review only those parts of the agreements which affecting the local economy. “I think that some mistakes have been made which have left some of our companies in a very unenviable situation,” Zivkovic told today’s round table.
