Unemployment up
20:13 BELGRADE, Sep 7 (Tanjug) - Serbia’s unemployment rate in July this year was 30.34 per cent, 16.3 per cent up on the figure for July 2002, according to Serbian Labour Market Institute figures released today.
The highest unemployment rates are among workers with secondary education (54 per cent) followed by those with a first or second degree (38.5 per cent) and the highly qualified (3.3 per cent). Of a total 969,466 per cent of unemployed registered in July, 54.4 per cent were women and more than half had never been employed.
