Direct investments in Serbia exceeded billion dollars in 2003
16:27 BELGRADE, Sept 3 (Tanjug) - Foreign investments in Serbia from January this year to date totaled about 800 million dollars, and by the end of the year they will have exceeded a billion dollars, while revenues from privatization have already exceeded one billion dollars, said on Wednesday Economy and Privatization Minister in the Serbian government, Aleksandar Vlahovic.
At the signing of the agreement on the sale of the Tobacco Industry in Vranje to the company British American Tobacco, Vlahovic specified that the level of investments that the new owners are planning through privatization was also around 800 million dollars.
