No Italian evidence against Djukanovic
17:39 PODGORICA, Aug 28 (Beta) - Montenegro’s state prosecutor said today that she had not received any documents from Italian authorities which could be used to launch criminal proceedings against Prime Minister Djukanovic.
Vesna Medenica said that if any official documentation were to be received from the Italian judiciary she would respond to it appropriately, but that at the moment everything was speculation. Italian media reported recently that the state prosecutor had ordered Djukanovic arrested but that an investigating magistrate had not upheld the order because Djukanovic was immune from prosecution under international law.
