Most of Kosovo's import of construction material, food comes from Serbia
15:39 COLOGNE, Aug 19 (Tanjug) - The UN-administrated southern
Serbian province of Kosovo has an extremely good trade with
surrounding countries, basing its economic life on trade and import,
the Deutsche Welle radio said on Tuesday and added that in addition
to legal import, there were large quantities of smuggled goods in
Kosovo, primarily cigarettes and oil.
Quoting the Kosovo Customs data, the radio said that the majority of
goods, 27 percent, was imported from Macedonia. The second most
important country of import is Turkey with 13 percent and it is
followed by Serbia (12 percent), Albania, (9 percent), Montenegro (8
percent) and other neighboring, mostly Balkan countries.
