Energy Ministry slams power authority
15:32 BELGRADE, August 14 (Beta) - The Serbian Ministry of Energy has taken issue with contracts signed by EPS, the national power authority. The ministry claims that the authority has singed a number of damaging contracts with international power brokers.
One is an agreement with the Energy Financing Team for the processing of heating oil between July and December, 2001 and the other with Interface on provision of electrical power in January and February, 2002. The contracts were signed without the appropriate tender process, says the ministry, which has submitted a report on both deals to state bodies.
