'Otpor': Elimination agreed at Petrovaradin Fortress
August 05, 2003 (Blic) - Coordinator of 'Otpor' of Novi Sad, Boro Lazukic claims that at a conspiracy meeting held on July 31 'one official of Serbian Government, one high Vojvodina official and one controversy businessman' decided to organize elimination of Branimir Nikolic, 'Otpor' activist in order to prevent him to 'disclose the truth about sugar affair'.
Lazukic says he got this information from a reliable source 'close to Novi Sad Police' refusing to disclose its identity. He also refused to name the participants of the 'conspiracy' meeting. Chief-of-staff of Novi Sad Police claims, however, that nobody of the Police has given any officials information about planned attack on Nikolic.
