Former Montenegrin finance minister could face prosecution
12:13 PODGORICA, August 5 (Beta) - Montenegro's state prosecutor has announced the possibility of an investigation being launched against former Montenegrin finance minister Predrag Goranovic.
Prosecutor Vesna Medenica said that Goranovic has been accused of profiting from involvement in the cigarette smuggling affair, although prior to any investigation Dragica Milosevic, who made the accusation in the media, will be questioned. Medenica insisted that Goranovic, finance minister during the period of hyperinflation and repeatedly accused of "shady dealings", would not be spared criminal prosecution if such a move is justified.
