Hague to help with Telekom Serbia investigation
15:26 BELGRADE, August 5 (SRNA) - Hague Tribunal chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte has confirmed that Serbian investigators, prosecutors and the judiciary are to be granted accessed to documentation and detainees sought in connection with the sale of Telekom Serbia.
According to the Serbian Justice Ministry, in a letter to justice minister Vladan Batic, the Hague prosecutor promised full cooperation with the ministry's request for evidence relating to the sale involving Telecom Italia, which prominent Italian officials allegedly profited from. Del Ponte expressed her awareness of the importance of the case, pledging to allow Serbian investigators to question those held at the tribunal's detention centre.
