Corruption watchdog under threat
20:16 NOVI SAD, Aug 4 (B92) - Police in Subotica are guarding the house of Otpor activist Branimir Nikolic, after he reported receiving a tip that an ambush was being prepared for him.
Nikolic, who heads the lobby group’s corruption and crime office, has been under constant police guard since his apartment was broken into a week ago. He told media today that neither threats nor blackmail would stop him fighting to uncover the truth about the sugar scandal or other cases of corruption.
