Spain approves five million dollar loan
21:44 MADRID, Aug 4 (Beta) - The Spanish Government has approved funds for the financing of micro-projects in Serbia-Montenegro, diplomatic sources in Madrid said today. The loan, passed by the Spanish cabinet on Friday, will be earmarked for loans to small businesses and farms and the supply of essential services.
Maximum individual loans will be ten thousand euros under the scheme which was launched soon after the 2000 change of government during a visit by the then Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Pique. Similar aid has been approved by Spain for Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, the Dominican Republic, Lebanon and Morocco.
