Serbian officials reply: We can speed up our joining EU
August 01, 2003 (Blic) - Contrary to the stance of Ian Willem Blankert, EU Embassy official in Belgrade that Serbia and Montenegro will need 10 years to join European Union, our officials are of the opinion that this process can be speeded up and that our country can become EU member as early as in 2007.
'Everything depends on us. We need consensus on this issue both in the state union and in Serbia', our officials claim.
