Kostic says suspension of sugar exports political decision by EU
10:13 BELGRADE , Aug 1 (Tanjug) - Miodrag Kostic, the owner of the MK Komerc company and four sugar refineries in Vojvodina province, has said the European sugar lobby is behind the European Union (EU) decision to suspend sugar exports at special prices from Serbia and Montenegro (SCG) to that market.
Serbia is one of the major manufacturers of sugar that can jeopardize the European market, Kostic said in a broadcast on Serbian Radio Television RTS late Thursday.
