Unions demand greater say in privatization
BELGRADE, July 29, 2003 (B92) - Serbian unions have complained they are still being denied access to the fine print of privatization deals despite assurances from the minister in charge.
Dragan Zarubica, the deputy head of the Alliance of Independent Serbian Union, claimed today that over 70 percent pf privatized companies are failing to stick to their sales contracts. Criticizing Economy and Privatization Minister Aleksandar Vlahovic, Zarubica argued that unions should have a greater role in the privatization process so they can monitor how well contracts are being followed.
