Drop of production affected Dinar rate of exchange
Belgrade, July 25, 2003 - 'Dinar exchange rate in the first half of the year depreciated for 8 per cent because of fall of industrial production which is in the competence of Serbian Government', Mirosinka Dinkic, director of Department for social policy of G17 Institute said yesterday.
'This indicates that the problems of development of Serbian economy are in production and not in monetary sphere', Dinkic added. According to this institute there are estimations about depreciation of the hard currency rate of exchange until the end of the year and in December it will amount to 3.8 per cent.
