In Serbia, 742 companies have been privatized
Jul 23, 2003 (Ekonomist) - By now, 742 companies have been privatized, out of which 266 in 2002 and 476 companies in the first semester of this year, stated director of Republic Agency for Privatization Mirko Cvetkovic, in Loznica.
At the meeting with the economists of Loznica municipality, Cvetkovic said that 615 companies have been sold through the auction, 20 through the tender, and 107 on the capital market. Total of 599 million dinars have been collected from the sale of these companies. Cvetkovic pointed out that 32 companies have been sold in the district of Macva, out of which only four in the municipality of Loznica.
