New excises caused potential buyers to reconsider
Belgrade, June 22, 2003 (IIS, Danas) – Closing date for submission of tender offers for tobacco factories in Nis (DIN) and Vranje (DIV) expires today, but it is unclear whether multinational companies will submit offers or not.
Extension of the original deadline (from July 8th to 22nd) is given on request made by potential buyers. Immediately after Serbian Government declared a new excise policy interested parties asked for additional time to reconsider and recalculate.
