Ecological disaster in lake near Backa Topola
Novi Sad, June 22, 2003 (IIS, Politika) – Last weekend was devastating for ecosystem in hydro accumulation lake Krivaja – Stare Moravice. According to Stojan Marinkovic, Vojvodina undersecretary for agriculture, more than 6 tons of fish have died due to huge spill of unidentified origin.
Repercussions of this event to ecosystem and economy of Backa Topola can’t be predicted and full investigation is expected.
