Number of poor people in Montenegro increasing
July 17, 2003 (Blic) - Poverty in Montenegro is not extreme, however, large number of citizens of that republic is near the poverty limit. This is result of poll conducted by World Bank and Institute for strategic studies and estimations of Podgorica.
The poverty limit taken in this poll was below 107 Euros per citizen monthly. If the poverty line would be risen for 20 per cent only, the number of poor people would double.
