Ilic says price of bread might increase early next year
20:16 BELGRADE , July 17 (Tanjug) - The price of bread will increase early next year unless the Serbian government fulfils the requests of private bakeries and exempts them from additional costs for baking fuel purchases and sales tax on pastries, Union of Bakers President Djordje Ilic said on Thursday.
Ilic told a news conference that bakers had sent their requests to the ministers of agriculture, finance, tourism and trade and energy and that the price of bread did not have to increase since the state had instruments to prevent it if it wanted to do so.
