From US soy - pensions for Serbian farmers
15:58 BELGRADE , July 16 (Tanjug) - Serbian Agriculture Minister Stojan Jevtic said Wednesday that all the 20,000 tons of soybean meal, donated by the United States to Serbia, were recently sold on the Novi Sad commodity exchange and the proceeds were used to pay the pensions of farmers and for humanitarian needs.
Jevtic, thanking US Ambassador William Montgomery for the donation "at a difficult moment for Serbia," said that from the sale of soybean meal have been earned 300 million dinars, of what 91 pct has been used "for the payment of pensions for farmers, and the rest for humanitarian needs."
