Djelic says amendment reduces possibilities for republic borrowing from NBS
16:10 BELGRADE , July 16 (Tanjug) - Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic said an amendment, adopted by the parliament Finance Committee on Wednesday, reduces possibilities for Serbia taking loans for its budget from the National Bank of Serbia (NBS). Djelic told Tanjug he considers this the most important of all the amendments adopted today. Also important are those tabled by MPs and the ones "we supported," he said, some of which have been drafted in keeping with the recommendations of the European Union (EU) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
One of the adopted amendments envisages lowering the limit from 10 percent of total budget income to five percent, which means that there are twice fewer possibilities for taking loans, Djelic said.
