In the first half of 2003, industrial production in Serbia drops by 3.1%
14:55 BELGRADE, July 15 (Tanjug) - In the first half of this year, the industrial production in Serbia dropped by 3.1 percent when compared with the same period of 2002, and in June by 0.5 percent in
comparison with the same month last year, the Republic Statistics Bureau stated on Tuesday.
A decrease of production was registered in 17 fields of industry, which make half of the overall production,
particularly in the production of radio, TV and telecommunication equipment, clothing and fur, textile yarn and materials, precise and optical instruments.
