Montenegro looks to economic harmony with Serbia
15:22 PODGORICA, July 15, 2003 (SRNA) - The Montenegrin parliament has adopted a plan to bring the economies of Serbia and Montenegro into line with each other. The Action Plan won the backing of the governing coalition. Opposition MPs did not attend.
During the debate, Finance Minister Miroslav Ivanisevic said that support for the plan would signal that Montenegro was intent on meeting European economic standards. He claimed the plan would protect Montenegro’s strategic economic interests.
