NBS bill to be discussed at special Serbian parliament session on Tuesday
19:30 BELGRADE , July 14 (Tanjug) - A bill on the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), under which the institution will remain independent and its governor, who will be allowed to be politically engaged, will be elected by parliament at the proposal of the parliament's finance committee, will be on the agenda of a special Serbian parliament session on Tuesday.
Under the bill, the NBS will remain independent in its work and decision making, it will receive no instructions from the government and the government will not elect any of the NBS members.
