Latest replacement without consulting Vojvodina - Canak
12:35 NOVI SAD, July 11 (Tanjug) - Commenting on the replacement of Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) Director Dimitrije Vukcevic and the appointment of Pavle Vuckovic to this post, Vojvodina Parliament President Nenad Canak said on Friday that he hopes this was the last time Belgrade removed and appointed someone without consulting Novi Sad.
"Vukcevic was appointed by the same government in 2001, and he was the only candidate then. We are now in a situation when he is replaced, without any discussion or explanation, by an acting director who, unlike Vukcevic, has never had any experience with oil," said the Provincial Parliament President and the League of Vojvodina Social Democrats (LSV) leader in a statement published by the Novi Sad daily Gradjanski List on Friday.
