Milo Djukanovic: Transit, not smuggling
July 10 (Blic) - Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic rejected accusations by Italian prosecution about his involvement in the international smuggling of cigarettes.
'This story is equally untrue as all previous ones, however this time the dirtiest one. There is not a single proof. Since no political harm to me can be made, now there is attack on my privacy', he said at press conference.
He explained that it was not smuggling but transit deals carried out in line with Montenegrin laws and laws of then mutual state.
'The latest story from Italy is only media interpretation. Montenegrin authorities and I personally have never got any confirmation for it. If proved that in Italy any court procedure against me has been initiated, I shall act towards that fact absolutely responsible. I respect the laws of my country and I equally respect the international laws', Djukanovic said.
